Mathieu Gasquet is the co-owner and editor of Mirrorless Comparison, as well as the man behind all the camera tests. Mathieu has been a professional photographer for over 15 years. Before specializing in camera reviews, he worked as an event photographer for the National Cinema Museum in Turin, and as a videomaker for renowned Italian agencies, which allowed him to collaborate with important names such as Fiat, Sky Italia, Maserati, and more. Mathieu also studied cinema in France and obtained a degree in cinematography at the A.R.F.I.S. school in Lyon.

I was tempted to begin this comparison by calling it “the ultimate mirrorless APS-C camera battle” but there is an expiry date on the validity of such a statement in this dynamic market. Sony a6300 vs Fujifilm X-Pro2 – Image Quality and Autofocus comparison

There are many differences between the Sony a6300 and the Fujifilm X-Pro2 but two of the most important characteristics – image quality and autofocus – actually behave in a similar manner. Both cameras inaugurated the two most recent APS-C sensors that have since been implemented on other products such as the X-T20, X-T2 and a6500 respectively, and their autofocus systems are among the best I’ve had the chance to use. So even though the price, build quality, additional features and target users are all different, there is actually a valid reason to compare these two cameras!
