Weekly News Roundup – Yongnuo YN455

This week, Yongnuo unveiled its Andoid camera with a micro four thirds mount, Panasonic released the full specs and price of the 25-50mm F1.7, while Canon and Fujifilm released firmware updates.

Yongnuo YN455

The YN455 is a mirrorless camera with a big 5-inch monitor on the rear, and a micro four thirds mount on the front, housing a 20MP sensor. But the real deal is that the camera runs Andoid 10, takes a 4G Nano Sim card and even has GPS installed. It can record 4K video up to 30p and has audio in and out (3.5mm).

The Chinese brand tries to blend a smartphone and interchangeable-lens camera into one product, but it’s not the first brand to have attempted this. Samsung released the Galaxy NX in 2013 with the same concept, although the camera also had a viewfinder.

The camera has been seen in Shanghai but it is unclear if it will be released worldwide.
