The Sony A7s is a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with a 12MP full-frame sensor. It is classified as a “high sensitivity” model thanks to its native ISO range of 100 to 102400 (expandable to 50 and 409600). It records internally in 1080p up to 60fps and up to 120fps in 720p and APS-C mode. 4K is only available via the HDMI output. Other features include a 25 point contrast detection AF system, silent shutter, 5fps continuous shooting, and a built-in EVF and tilting LCD screen. It was succeeded by the A7s II in 2015 and a third-generation model is expected sometime in 2018.

The Sony NEX 3N was the last Sony mirrorless camera to be released under the NEX moniker. All subsequent APS-C and full-frame models, including the A5000 (the NEX 3n’s successor), assumed the Alpha prefix. An entry-level model with a rangefinder-style body, it comes with a 16MP APS-C sensor with an ISO range of 200-16000, a contrast detection AF system with 25 points and a tilting LCD screen.

The Olympus Pen E-P5 is a Micro Four Thirds camera whose retro design is based on that of the old series of Pen film cameras. Until the announcement of the Pen F in 2016, it was the flagship model in the Olympus Pen series and had a number of advanced features other Pen cameras didn’t have such as a 16MP sensor, 5-axis in-body stabilisation and a fast mechanical shutter speed of 1/8000 of a second. It was announced alongside the VF-4 external electronic viewfinder, which you could attach to the hotshoe to compensate for the lack of a built-in finder.
