1. SENSOR The A7C II features a 33.0MP sensor, the same chip found in the A7 IV. On the other hand, the A7CR has 61.0MP and inherits the same sensor found in the A7R V.

2. AUTOFOCUS The A7C II comes with 759 phase detection points covering 94% of the sensor surface. The A7C R has 693 points distributed across 79% of the sensor area.

3. VIDEO The A7C II records 4K up to 30p with oversampling and no sensor crop, and 4K 60p in APS-C mode. The A7CR does 4K up to 60p with a 1.2x crop (pixel binning). 4K 30p with oversampling is available in APS-C mode.

4. BATTERY The two cameras use the same battery (NP-FZ100), but there is a slight variance in their battery life ratings (CIPA standard), in favour of the A7C II.

5. PRICE  The A7C II enters the market with a retail price of $2200 (body only). On the other hand, the A7CR is priced at $3000, but includes the new extension grip worth $160.
