1. DESIGN The A7CR is lighter and smaller. The A7R V has a state of the art EVF, two card slots, an AF joystick, full size HDMI and better heat dissipation.

2. LCD The A7R V has a 3.2-in LCD with 2.1M dots and a clever 4-axis mechanism. You can use it as a standard tilting-only screen, or as a vari-angle monitor.

3. VIDEO The A7CR can record 4K video up to 50 or 60p with a 1.2x sensor crop. The A7R V can do the same but is also capable of recording 8K at 24p or 25p with the same 1.2x crop.

4. DRIVE The A7CR goes up to 8fps with the EFCS, or 7fps with the electronic shutter. The A7R V is faster at 10fps. It also has better buffer thanks to the CFexpress cards.

5. PRICE  The A7CR was launched with a retail price of $3000, £3200, or €3700. The A7R V is more expensive and can be found for $3900, £4000 or €4500.
