1. SENSOR Both have an APS-C sensor with 24MP, but the one inside the R10 is more recent, with upgraded micro lenses and circuitry that boost quality and performance.

2. AUTOFOCUS The R10 has a more advanced AF, with the 2nd generation Dual Pixel CMOS AF and more subject detection capabilities (animals and vehicles)

3. DRIVE SPEED The R10 goes up to 15fps (mechanical) or 23fps (electronic shutter), both with Servo AF. The R100 pales in comparison: 6.5fps with One-Shot AF, or 3.5fps with continuous AF.

4. VIDEO The R10 records 4K up to 30p without sensor crop. There is also a 4K 60p option. The R100 crops by 1.6x in 4K 24/25p, and you don’t get phase detection AF in 4K.

5. PRICE  The R10 can be bought with the 18-45mm kit lens for $1000 / £1100 / €1080. With the same lens, the R100 costs less: $600 / £670 / €700.
