1. SENSOR The A7C has 24.2MP, whereas the A7C II uses 33MP. The ISO range is the same: 100 to 51,200 (normal), or 50 to 204,800 (extended).

2. AUTOFOCUS Both offer real-time tracking and subject detection, but the A7C II takes it a step further with its A.I. chip. It can recognise more types of subjects and more body parts.

3. VIDEO The A7C II has more specs that you won't find in its predecessor, like 4K 60p (Super35 mode), 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording, S-cinetone and bitrate up to 600Mbps.

4. MENU The A7C II benefits from the most recent menu system, which is better organized and fully compatible with touch sensitivity.

5. BATTERY  Both cameras use the same battery, but the A7C has a better rating: 740 frames (LCD), or 680 with the  EVF. The A7C II does 540 frames (LCD) or 510 images (EVF).
