Nikon Zf vs Zfc

The 5 Main Differences

Curious to discover the five most important differences between the Nikon Zf and Zfc? Let's take a look!

1. SENSOR The Zf comes with a full-frame sensor and 24.5MP. It is also equipped with a faster image processor. The Zfc features a smaller 20.9MP APS-C sensor.

2. AUTOFOCUS The Zf has more advanced subject detection (people, animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, trains, and planes). The Zfc can track the face and eyes of humans, and the eyes of cats and dogs.

3. STABILISATION The Zf is equipped with 5-axis stabilization with 8EV of compensation (CIPA standards). In contrast, the Zfc lacks in-body stabilization, so you must rely on lenses with VR technology.

4. DESIGN The two products share the same design concept, inspired by Nikon’s iconic FM2 film camera. The Zf is larger and heavier, but it is the only one sporting weather sealing.

5. PRICE  The Zf is available at a retail price of $2000, £2300, or €2500 for the body only. In contrast, the Zfc is much more affordable, priced at $1000 / £880 / €890 (body only).
