Nikon Zf vs Z6 II

The 5 Main Differences

Curious to discover the five most important differences between the Nikon Zf and Z6 II? Let's take a look!

1. DESIGN The Zf is based on Nikon’s FM2 film camera, launched in 1982. It is a tribute to the company’s old SLRs. It is wider with a more rectangular design and old-fashioned exposure dials.

2. BLACK & WHITE The Zf introduces two new monochrome profiles and the camera has a dedicated physical control for black and white photography.

3. CARDS The Zf has two slots, one for SD UHS-II cards, and the other for Micro SD cards. These are located in the battery compartment. The Z6 II accepts one CFexpress Type B card and one SD UHS-II card.

4. AUTOFOCUS The Zf has more advanced subject detection capabilities. It can track a wide variety of animals, including birds, as well as many types of vehicles. It also has better rating in low light.

5. SENSOR SHIFT  The Zf boasts an impressive 8-stop rating for its 5-axis image stabilization (versus 5 stops on the Z6 II). It is also Nikon’s first camera to introduce the Pixel Shift Multi Shot function (96MP output).
